This is workaday through our transferral to spanking-new teaching, a well-designed curriculum, and a supportive environment for all our students. In support of our mission, we are single-minded to ensuring all students have a solid grounding in essential mathematics skills, with understanding ripened and enhanced through challenge. We believe that mathematics is a tool to support students outside of the mathematics classroom, so purpose is demonstrated by making real world and cross-curricular connections. We employ an variousness of towage techniques, provide a variety of teaching styles, and maintain intervention plans for students that need uneaten help. Students are challenged to develop skills in analysis, reasoning, creativity, collaborative learning, and self-expression as they proceeds knowledge of mathematics. We maintain upper wonk and behavioural expectations, make every classroom minute count and encourage all students to realise their full potential. Our curriculum is designed to indulge all students the opportunity to wangle the highest grades and firmly believe no student should ‘settle for a C’ or plane ‘settle for an A’.   KS3 At KS3 the aim is to make the study of Mathematics enjoyable and relevant for all pupils. When pupils enter the school in Year 7, they are streamed equal to thier worthiness throughout all of thier subjects. The schemes of work are led by the National Curriculum. Pupils are taught to develop ways of organising, communicating and manipulating information over a wholesale range of topics. The accent is on problem-solving, investigations and practical activities. Pupils are encouraged to use their own initiative and imagination when tackling a variety of tasks. We offer a range of exciting, engaging and multi-faceted activities. This will contribute to improving student’s thinking skills with an accent on collaborative learning.   KS4 At KS4 the maths department follow the WJEC Linear GCSE Mathematics Course at both Higher and Foundation tier with an viewing first sat in the November of year 11.  Following this all pupils have the opportunity to modernize their grade and for those pupils working at the Higher Tier moreover have the opportunity of sitting the Additional Maths Qualification.  There is no coursework in maths and the result is based 100% on viewing but with a higher proportion of problem solving questions.  The department ensures that each pupil is given every opportunity to reach their full potential and unzip the highest grade possible at the end of year 11. Our departmental motto is "Don't settle for a C!" or "Don't settle for an A!". Year 11 Higher resources KS5 At KS5 we are proud to offer both A level Mathematics and A level Further Mathematics.
