In wing it examines the nature of information and how computers have unauthentic our lives. Computer Science looks at how computers work and how they can be programmed to solve problems. The department encourages students to use their creative worthiness and love of technology to produce work to a upper standard. At Key stage 3 we aim to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills in a wide range of areas to indulge them to go on to remoter study at GCSE, A level or to prepare them for the world of work, where ICT is widely used. We aim to set challenges that proffer the learning and skills of all students as well as those who have a keen interest in an zone of ICT or Computer Science. The aim of the ICT Department is to develop pupils’ knowledge of Computer Science, their IT skills and their interest in ICT.  We believe that pupils will make the most of their potential if they enjoy their work and are worldly-wise to develop real world skills that will goody them both now and in the future. All pupils follow an IT undertow at Key Stage 3 without which they have the opportunity to protract with courses at Key Stage 4 and ICT Courses in the sixth form. The Department has an unshut door policy for lunchtime sessions where pupils can well-constructed homework or coursework.Withoutschool clubs are moreover run to support viewing pupils. In Key Stage 3 students concentrate on their vital IT skills and are encouraged to develop their conviction in using computers and the school network as a work environment.  They will learn to use a range of industry standard applications and likewise they will have opportunities to be increasingly creative through a range of multimedia tasks including video editing, animation, and web design.  Computer Science skills are moreover covered with introductions to programming concepts and algorithm design.
